1. Is there any publication charge?
No. The entire publication process is free of charge. JJECI does not apply article processing charges (APCs) or color figure fees.
2. Do you charge for color figures?
No. All figures, including color figures, are published at no cost to authors.
3. How long does the review process take?
The peer review process usually takes around one month, depending on reviewer availability and response time. Authors are notified promptly following the decision of the editorial board.
4. Is the journal indexed?
Yes. JJECI articles are assigned DOIs via Crossref and are permanently archived to ensure accessibility. The journal is indexed in several databases and is actively expanding its indexing coverage to meet international standards.
5. Can I publish my manuscript as open access?
Yes. JJECI is a fully open-access journal, and all published articles are freely available online under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
6. Does JJECI provide English language support?
Authors are responsible for ensuring their manuscript is written in clear English. JJECI does not provide direct language editing services, but authors may:
- Ask a colleague proficient in English to review the manuscript.
- Use professional language editing services if needed.
- Refer to the Author Guidelines for common language requirements.
All accepted manuscripts are checked by JJECI copyeditors for spelling and formatting before publication.
7. Can I make corrections to my article after it has been published online?
The online version represents the final and official version of the article. No changes can be made after publication, except through a formal Erratum, which will be hyperlinked to the article.
8. Do authors need to disclose the use of AI tools?
Yes. If AI tools were used during manuscript preparation (e.g., for grammar assistance), authors must disclose this in the Declaration Statements section using the required format provided in the Author Guidelines.
9. What ethical policies does JJECI follow?
JJECI strictly follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and enforces policies on authorship, plagiarism detection, conflicts of interest, and research ethics. Full details are available under the Editorial Policies tab.
10. Are DOIs assigned to published articles?
Yes. Every published article receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via Crossref to ensure permanent citation and accessibility.
11. What forms are required for publication?
Upon acceptance, authors must submit:
- Plagiarism & AI Declaration Form
- Copyright Transfer Agreement
